Rozhledna Děčínský Sněžník / en

The height of lookout tower is 33 metres. It is built of stones. It is located in 723 metres height above sea level. In 1864 it was built by František AntonínThun.The architect of the lookout tower is Hänel. Orignally it should be designed as trigonometrical tower. With the growth of tourism was the tower open for visitors. In 1936 the tower pick up the first television signal in that time Czechoslovakia. It was broadcasted from the Olympic games in Berlin. In 1992 was the lookout tower reconstructed. Close to lookout tower you find buffet, mountain cottage (restaurant) and small lake.
